Victor Wachter
Online Community Relations Manager, Cryptic Studios

Victor Wachter is the online community relations manager, overseeing community relations on Marvel Universe Online and Cryptic’s future games. In this role, Victor is responsible for building and supporting the community of gamers who are interested in these products, developing Cryptic and MUO’s online presence through corporate, product and community web sites, and implementing communication campaigns to spread the word about everything Cryptic does. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa in Communication Studies (emphasis on Media Studies and Film) and studied online communities and consumer engagement with technology in his graduate work at Iowa State University. Victor has focused on building the pre-launch community for massively-multiplayer games that break the traditional mold, having previously launched Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach for Turbine Inc. and PlanetSide, the massively multiplayer online first-person shooter for Sony Online Entertainment.
